Filippo Berio Olive Oil - A Healthy Alternative

Summer time is coming and everyone is looking to cut calories, but not taste of their favorite food. There really is a healthier alternative to using high fat oils, butter, or margarine. Filippo Berio Olive Oils are just the thing to use in place of unhealthy items while cooking. It is so versatile you can use it to cook, bake, marinade, as a dressing, and even as a dip for bread. Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains no trans fat, cholesterol, sugar, salt, or gluten, along with being high in monounsaturated fats (good fat) and has been prove to reduce the risk of heart disease coupled with controlling blood pressure and blood sugar. All of those statistics make Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil a win win in my book!

Filippo Berio has been around for 150 years creating distinct Olive Oils that are rich in Italian flavor and tradition. They have even simplified the way you can substitute their olive oils for other oils and butter with their substitution chart located on there site here. Along with their substitution chart you can explore the many many recipes in which different types of olive oils can and are used in every day cooking. Make sure you check out the Your Health section on Filippo Berio's site. You can learn some interesting facts regarding the use and health benefits of olive oil. Some of which even made me go "hmmm I didn't know that".

Just for my followers I have in hand mini recipe books for Filippo Berio Olive Oils that also contain $1 off coupon on any one Filippo Berio Olive Oil product. If you are interested I will send these booklets to the first three of my follwers to send me an email (kathyscalmtochaoslife at gmail.com) with their address! Please make sure to put into the subject line Filippo Berio!
