Wholly Salsa Not Just Good For Dipping - REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

WINNER!

Congratulations Heather! Enjoy Your Goodies!!

Wholly Guacamole is most well known for their amazing Guacamole. Which I happen to be in love with the 100 calorie packs they have. However, guacamole is not the only thing they make that is awesome. This past spring Wholly Guacamole launched a Wholly Salsa line of products.  Their Salsa is made with all natural ingredients, fat free, gluten free, kosher certified, and preservative and additive free. I had heard about their salsa line, but hadn't had the opportunity to try any of the flavors yet. Well that was until recently. Wholly Guacamole sent me a cooler full of their products!! Both guacamole and ALL of the salsa flavors. Needless to say I was over the moon delighted to have received this surprise shipment of what was now making my mouth water (ok maybe I drooled a little too). Contained within this cooler of goodness was Guacamole, Salsa, a rubber avocado, chip clip, and a pen! I'm not here to tell you about their guacamole because I am almost certain all of you have already tried it and love it. I'm here to tell you about Wholly Salsa! Wholly Salsa line of flavors include:

Classic - Hot, Medium, and Mild
Avocado Verde
Guacamole & Spicy Pico
Roasted Tomato
Red Pepper Mango
Pineapple

Not only are the Wholly Salsa line of products good for traditional chip dipping, but are also a great addition to recipes. Don't worry, if you need a little bit of recipe inspiration Wholly has a recipe section on their website which can be seen here. You can use the salsa as a topping, addition to, or substitute for many other things that may have high fat or calorie content. Being a type II diabetic I find the substitution recommendation for recipes on their site to be a wonderful addition to my diet. I can enjoy those dishes I adore so much without the fear or guilt of a ton of calories or my blood sugar spiking. Maybe I should mention that salsa is considered one of my "free" food items I can eat endless amounts of and it won't spike my blood sugar (Hey Doctor's orders to eat salsa and I just so happen to have a cooler full of it in my fridge from a very generous and giving company)

Over the past few weeks I've tried almost all the flavors I was sent (with the exception of the hot), mostly by dipping with chips. Then I started to top burgers with the flavors and tacos! I have a love for steak tacos and having all of these flavors to put on my tacos was just awesome for me. All I could talk about to my friends was all this salsa in my fridge and how they ALL had to try some! Yes, it even turned into a late night on my patio one night which included tortilla chips and Roasted Tomato, Mild, and Avocado Verde as our late night snack. All three flavors were a hit with my friends, which of course made me smile knowing that I love a product that now they do too and would go out and purchase it. My favorite flavors were Pineapple (good on turkey burgers) and Avocado Verde (turkey sandwich) along with Roasted Tomato (my new steak taco topping). What I like most about the packaging was the heat meter right on the front. I'm not partial to spicy hot things, so I took into consideration this heat meter when choosing what to try on what or to just dip. I am determined to find the perfect fit for the Red Pepper Mango, perhaps I will surf Wholly's recipe area and find a recipe to try it with.

Because Wholly Guacamole is such an amazing awesome company they have offered me the opportunity to giveaway the same cooler of products in which I received. (I did say a cooler full) Below is the picture of the items that were in the cooler I received

Now tell me you aren't chomping at the bit, mouth watering, and eyes wide open going YUM!

Now for the best part of all, the giveaway! Giveaway will run from 7/12/12 until 7/27/12 at 12:01 AM EST. Simply follow the instructions on the rafflecopter widget. You can do all the entries or just the main mandatory one! There will be ONE winner who will receive a cooler of products much like the items pictures above. Good Luck to everyone.
